Bloomberg: Institutional investors are avoiding exchanges

Institutional investors are investing more in cryptos but not through typical entry points. Instead of investing through exchanges, where the price can suddenly swing, institutional investors are investing over-the-counter (OTC). These investors are often looking to purchase more coins than offered for sale at any given exchange and don't want to risk the volatility in price when purchasing such large volumes. As a result, they prefer to participate in OTC markets given their ability to purchase millions of dollars of assets at a negotiated fixed price. (Source: Bloomberg)
