What bear market? Interest in crypto jobs 'still strong,' report says

The market for digital currencies may be down a whopping 70% from its all time highs, but the job market for crypto is still humming along, according to an article published by crypto watcher CoinDesk. Citing research from Indeed.com, the firm found that searches for jobs relating to bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency fell by 3.06% from October 2017 to October 2018.  Still, employers are actually more interested in crypto jobs. Over the same time period employer interest in crypto positions rose by 25%. Speaking to CoinDesk reporter Yogita Khatri, Raj Mukherjee, senior VP of product at Indeed, said: “While over the last few years Indeed saw a steady rise in job seeker interest for roles related to cryptocurrency, our data shows that job searches for these roles really picked up around the time when the cost of bitcoin was at its highest. Since then job seeker interest has gone down, but still remains strong.” Below is a chart highlighting the results with employee searches and employer interest on the blue and red lines, respectively.
