Crypto mining firm Giga Watt shuts down daily operations following bankruptcy filing

Giga Watt has reportedly shut down their day-to-day operations, CoinTelegraph writes. The US-based cryptocurrency mining firm continued functioning after their bankruptcy filing back in November, but it has now been forced to cease their daily activities, according to reports. This Tuesday, the company sent an email to all customers stating that "both access and power to the facilities in which Giga Watt operates have been closed to the company."

According to the message, the company has started shipping some of the mining equipment back to its customers. Some of it, however, remains at the locked down facilities due to pending legal proceedings. Additionally, KYC-verified customers can access their Giga Watt wallets through the company’s dashboard for withdrawal until March.
