Blockfolio has been hacked to display offensive content, the firm says funds are safe

FTX-owned crypto portfolio tracking app Blockfolio has been hacked to display offensive content.

Blockfolio said it is looking into the issue. Meanwhile, user funds are safe, and trading services are working fine, said the firm.

Blockfolio is one of the popular crypto apps with more than 6 million users. The app was acquired by crypto exchange FTX last August in a $150 million deal.

FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried said the hack was on the news/signal feeds of Blockfolio, and the remaining services remain intact.

"Over the next month, I'll be leading a security review of the old, non-trading-related parts of Blockfolio to bring them in line with the standards set by trading and by FTX more generally," he said, adding:

"We're giving $10 to every [user] trading in Blockfolio, and the next ones who sign up this week."
