Privacy coin Grin goes live

Grin, a cryptocurrency implementing the MimbleWimble privacy protocol, officially went live on the mainnet on Tuesday morning. According to GrinScan, the first Grin block was mined at 16:01:26 UTC. Grin's launch follows the January launch of Beam, another cryptocurrency implementing MimbleWimble. Unlike Beam, which has raised private funding and has implemented a 25% founder's reward, Grin developers rely "on donations to keep working on the project."
