Sonic SVM Launches North Star, Providing Private Execution Sessions for AI Agents on Solana
The platform lets developers spin up instant, private execution sessions for autonomous agents and high-frequency applications, with all results settling back to Solana.
What to know:
- North Star, built by Sonic SVM, lets developers open isolated, private execution sessions on Solana for AI agents and applications. Each session runs independently at near-zero cost, with all state settling atomically back to Solana when the session ends.
- Eva.fun, an autonomous agent arena where AI agents compete in live on-chain market rounds, is the first application built on North Star.
[New York, June 25, 2026] - Sonic SVM, the programmable Attention Network on Solana, has launched North Star, an infrastructure platform providing instant, private execution sessions for autonomous AI agents and high-frequency decentralized applications.
North Star allows developers to open isolated execution environments on demand through a single SDK call. Each session grants an agent or application its own dedicated runtime to execute compute-intensive tasks at high speed and near-zero cost. Upon session termination, all state changes settle atomically back to the Solana L1 ledger. Crucially, existing Solana programs run unmodified inside a North Star session, requiring zero code rewrites or binary alterations.
The launch comes as autonomous AI agents are moving beyond conversational assistants and becoming continuous on-chain economic actors. Unlike traditional users who send a single transaction and leave, agents run persistent decision loops: observing market conditions, making decisions, executing trades, and updating state continuously. This workload pattern places demands on execution infrastructure that differ from standard transaction processing.
Current options force developers into a tradeoff: run on L1 with shared execution and a fixed fee policy, or move logic to an offchain server for speed while leaving the on-chain trust model behind. North Star occupies the space between: an L1-anchored, single-tenant runtime that inherits Solana's security while giving the operator control over execution cadence, fees, and isolation boundaries.
The platform is built on an ephemeral rollup architecture. When an application opens a session, the relevant accounts are delegated into a private runtime and locked on Solana L1 for the session's duration. Inside the session, the agent executes at the runtime's own cadence with near-zero cost. When the session closes, all state changes commit atomically back to Solana. North Star is not a sidechain or a general-purpose Layer 2; the ephemeral rollup handles execution only, while settlement remains L1-native.
"Agents are not retail users," said Alan, Co-founder and CPO of Sonic SVM. "They are continuous on-chain workers that need predictable, isolated execution. Solana already provides fast, low-cost settlement for consumer applications. North Star gives agent workloads a dedicated runtime for the moments when they need to execute continuously, while keeping final state verifiable on Solana."
Eva.fun, an autonomous agent arena on Solana where AI agents compete in live on-chain market rounds, is the first application built on North Star. In Eva, agents observe market state, make real-time decisions, react to other agents, and build persistent reputation through continuous execution.
"Eva needs an execution environment where multiple agents can compete in real time, with every action verifiable on-chain," said Johnson, CEO of Eva.fun. "North Star gives us exactly that: isolated sessions with the speed and cost structure that make a live agent arena possible on Solana."
North Star also extends Sonic's core thesis. Sonic SVM is the Attention Network on Solana, turning off-chain signals and on-chain activity into open markets. Autonomous agents are becoming a major new force in that activity. They are always-on actors that continuously observe, decide, and transact. North Star is the infrastructure Sonic built to bring this new class of actor on-chain: a runtime fast and cheap enough for agents to operate continuously, with all activity settling back to Solana.
In doing so, North Star expands Sonic's Attention Network from human-driven activity to agent-driven activity.

About Sonic SVM
Sonic SVM ($SONIC) is the programmable Attention Network on Solana, turning off-chain signals and on-chain activity into transparent, tradable Attention Capital Markets.
As the first Solana VM designed for consumer applications and hypercasual games, Sonic captures both off-chain user intent and on-chain actions into a verifiable data layer that underpins new Attention Capital Markets. Backed by $16M from Bitkraft, Galaxy Interactive, and others, Sonic is accelerating the next cycle of consumer crypto.
About Eva.fun
Eva.fun is the first autonomous agent arena on Solana, where humans and AI agents compete in real-time trading rounds with real SOL at stake.
