Quick Take

  • Alchemy launched Alchemy Rollups, which lets developers launch and scale their own chain.

The blockchain tech firm Alchemy launched a new tool called Alchemy Rollups, the company announced Thursday.

Alchemy Rollups let developers launch and scale their own chain, according to a release shared with The Block. The tool uses rollups, which bundle data together into a single transaction. Alchemy Rollups is available on a waitlist.

"We’ve been watching the industry shift towards rollups and are excited to see leaders in this space begin to operate their own chains. Our mission is to bring access to web3 to billions of users, and enabling developers to run their own chains is a critical step towards that goal," Alchemy Product Lead Monica Garde told The Block. "We’re thrilled to help developers harness the power of our entire developer platform and our battle-tested, reliable infrastructure to launch their rollups and help their ecosystems flourish."

Alchemy was valued at $10.2 billion in February 2022, The Block previously reported. The firm acquired the blockchain data indexing platform Satsuma in September of last year.
