Bybit Card becomes available on Apple Pay

Quick Take

  • Bybit Card, a Mastercard-issued debit card, can now be added to Apple Pay.
  •  The support for Bybit Card comes several months after Crypto.com’s card became available on the EU version of Apple’s mobile wallet application.

Bybit debit cards can be added to Apple Pay, the exchange’s CEO Ben Zhou said Tuesday in a post on X.

The company announced on June 17 that customers could use Apple Pay as a checkout option in the Bybit app or website.

Bybit launched Bybit Card, a physical debit card issued by Mastercard, in April. The payment option enables users to make payments and withdraw cash using 1 fiat currency and eight crypto assets, according to Bybit's website.

The integration comes amid the tech giant's broader plans to beef up financing and reward services to its mobile wallet application this fall, the Associated Press reported in early June.

To be sure, Bybit is not the only exchange to make inroads with Apple Pay in 2024. Earlier this year, Apple added support for Crypto.com's Visa cards to the EU version of its application.
