Laurent Benayoun

Laurent Benayoun is the CEO of Acheron Trading, a market-making firm specializing in digital assets.

He began his career in finance inspired by an applied math course on financial market behaviors and the theory of Brownian motion. This led him to explore cryptocurrencies, eventually co-founding HedgeTech with Shi Qiu. HedgeTech focused on market-making in crypto, which later became part of Acheron Trading through a strategic acquisition in 2022. Laurent's extensive academic background includes a Master's degree in Financial Mathematics from Princeton University and a double B.A. in Pure Mathematics and Economics from Boston University​.

Under Laurent's leadership, Acheron Trading has made significant strides, including developing innovative market-making models and enhancing regulatory compliance. His vision for Acheron includes establishing it as a leading market maker for digital assets, providing transparency, and staying ahead in regulatory adherence. Laurent is also committed to educating and empowering the next generation of finance professionals through mentoring and lecturing at prestigious institutions like Harvard's Blockchain Accelerator Program and Princeton University​.
