Trump Media records $360.6 million unrealized loss on digital assets in first half of the year

Trump Media & Technology Group reported a $238.1 million net loss in the second quarter, while recording a $360.6 million unrealized loss on digital assets and digital assets pledged in the first half of the year.

The company recorded $245.4 million in unrealized losses on digital assets during the six months ended June 30, alongside a $55.5 million loss on the reacquisition of pledged digital assets, according to an SEC filing on Monday. It also reported a $52.2 million loss from derecognition and a $7.4 million unrealized loss on pledged assets. 

Trump Media’s combined digital-asset holdings had a fair value of $597.7 million as of June 30, down from $904.4 million at the end of 2025. The company held 9,477.16 BTC, worth $557.1 million, and 756.1 million Cronos, worth $40.6 million, at the end of the period, the filing shows. 

Its bitcoin held directly declined by 65 BTC from 9,542.16 BTC at the end of 2025, while the fair value of the holdings fell from $836.4 million. Trump Media’s Cronos holdings were unchanged at 756.1 million tokens, although their fair value declined from $68 million.

The filing comes days after bitcoin linked to Trump Media was transferred to Crypto.com in two transactions totaling 2,628 BTC, worth about $165 million at the time. A Trump Media spokesperson told The Block that the bitcoin was transferred but not sold, following a similar transfer in May.

Trump Media ranks as the 12th-largest public bitcoin treasury, according to BitcoinTreasuries. As of June 30, the company had 4,260.73 BTC serving as collateral for convertible notes and another 2,077.34 BTC pledged for its bitcoin options strategy.

Meanwhile, the company reported $1.7 million in second-quarter revenue, up 89% from a year earlier, primarily from advertising services on Truth Social. 

Trump Media ended its partnership with Crypto.com last week, with the companies citing prevailing market conditions and shifting business and stakeholder priorities. The agreements included a proposed CRO treasury company and plans for Truth.Fi-branded ETFs, which Trump Media withdrew in May.

Trump Media shares closed Monday at $9.39, down 8%, according to TradingView.
