Chinese mining giant Bitmain has released its new Antminer Z11, which promises thrice the hashing power its predecessor had, the company announced on its blog. Antminer Z11 is designed to mine Equihash algorithm-based cryptocurrencies, such as Zcash.

According to Bitmain, the new miner has a hashing power of 135 KSol/s (solutions per second), and it boasts power-efficiency of 10.50 J/KSol. Therefore, it allows for serious savings in electricity costs—60 per cent when compared to the previous model.
