Samsung Galaxy smartphones now support Stellar blockchain

Select Samsung Galaxy smartphones, including S10 and S20 series, now support the Stellar blockchain network.

The Stellar Development Foundation, the non-profit behind the development and growth of Stellar, has partnered with Samsung to integrate Stellar into the Samsung Blockchain Keystore.

The integration allows users to store Stellar private keys in Galaxy smartphones' inbuilt blockchain wallet. It also enables Stellar developers to build blockchain apps for Galaxy smartphones.

The Stellar Development Foundation said at least four Stellar-based startups have committed to building their apps for the Keystore, including DSTOQ, SatoshiPay, Litemint, and Nodle.

"It's just the beginning as we work together to empower more developers and users to leverage blockchain and the capabilities presented by this integration," said Denelle Dixon, CEO and executive director of the foundation. "Samsung provides a key management solution that is user-friendly and drives greater adoption of blockchain technology."

Stellar is the fifth blockchain the Keystore now supports, in addition to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, and Kakao's Klaytn.
