Fintech associations from across the Asia-Pacific region are joining forces to launch Asia-Pacific Fintech Network, an initiative that aims to enable greater collaboration between the countries and inspire innovation across borders, Disruptive Asia reports. Blockchain, Payment Systems, and AI are some of the segments the founders believe will benefit most from such an approach.
“Innovation develops best through collaboration and cooperation across borders,” Henri Arslanian, Chairman of the FinTech Association of Hong Kong, said. “We hope the launch of the Asia-Pacific FinTech Network will catalyse even more advances throughout the region.”
A Statement of Intent was signed during the Asian Financial Forum event in Hong Kong by FinTech Australia, FinTech Association of Hong Kong, Fintech Association of Japan, Fintech Association of Malaysia, MENA Fintech Association, Fintech Philippines Association, Singapore FinTech Association, Fintech Industry Development Association of Taiwan and the Thai Fintech Association. However, other organisations are also invited to join the Asia-Pacific Fintech Network.
Besides fostering collaboration, the Network will focus on organising events to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between the members through various events, seminars and workshops.
