15 U.S. Lawmakers ask SEC for clarity on ICOs and digital tokens

Representatives Ted Budd, Warren Davidson, Tom Emmer, and Darren Soto, along with 11 co-signers, sent a letter to the SEC expressing concern that the SEC has not established guidelines for determining whether digital tokens are securities or not. The 15 Members of Congress believe that "treating all digital tokens as securities would harm American innovation and leadership..." and that the "SEC could do more to clarify its position."
