LINE Pay and Visa announce strategic partnership to implement new fintech solutions

Visa has partnered up with digital wallet LINE Pay to create new financial services for their customers, LINE Pay announced in a press release. The companies are planning to create new blockchain-based solutions for b2b clients, cross-border payments, and “alternative currency payments.”

As part of the strategic partnership, LINE users will be able to get a digital Visa card within the LINE app, and in the future, they’ll be able to use all existing Visa cards in the app. Moreover, customers using LINE Pay will be able to pay with the app at Visa’s merchants.

LINE originally started as a messaging app. It has launched a number of finance products to meet the consumer need for integrating more services within one app.
