LIT is the native token of Lighter, a decentralized trading platform designed to deliver exchange-grade performance while keeping execution verifiable. Lighter is built as a custom zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum and generates cryptographic proofs for core exchange operations—including order matching and liquidations—so activity can be publicly verified while users retain the ability to deposit and withdraw via Ethereum.

Within the Lighter ecosystem, LIT is positioned as an infrastructure token intended to align incentives across traders, developers, and other stakeholders.
