Robinhood’s prediction market revenue surpassed cryptocurrency and equities revenue during the second quarter, helping its total transaction-based revenues climb 44% year-over-year to $776 million, the company said Wednesday.

The trading platform said it generated $156 million from event contracts, compared with $100 million from cryptocurrency trading, which fell 38% from the same period a year ago. Trading revenue for equities came in at $129 million.

Robinhood's total net revenue also jumped 32% year-over-year to $1.31 billion. The company posted a profitable quarter with net income of $573 million constituting a 48% increase when compared to Q2 2025.

“We delivered record revenues and drove new highs across equity, option, and event contract volumes, as we continue to win market share," Robinhood's Chief Financial Officer Shiv Verma said in a statement.

Robinhood said its crypto notional trading volumes came in at $40 billion, including Bitstamp's notional volumes which were $22 billion. The company acquired Bitstamp last year.

The company's shares fell about 3% in after-hours trading to $86.89.

Robinhood entered prediction markets in October 2024 with presidential-election contracts before launching a dedicated prediction-markets hub in March 2025. It sources event contracts from longtime partner Kalshi and Interactive Brokers’ ForecastEx. In June, it launched Rothera, a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse independently managed through a joint venture with Susquehanna International Group.

Earlier this month, Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 built using Arbitrum’s tech stack, went live on public mainnet, with partners including Uniswap active from day one. As of Tuesday, total value locked (TVL) in Robinhood Chain stood at approximately $325 million.

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said on an earnings call the company has seen “great initial traction” for its recently launched Robinhood Chain, with decentralized exchanges processing more than $12 billion in trading volume so far.

“It was also the fastest chain to get 100 million transactions. I think we’re well north of 150 million transactions at this point,” Tenev said.
