The proposal introduced a mechanism to link protocol revenue directly to ZK token holders via buybacks, burns, and staking rewards. Protocol fees generated by the zkSync sequencer are redirected into open-market ZK buybacks, a portion of which is burned and a portion distributed to stakers.
