Sam Bankman-Fried, often referred to by his initials SBF, is a prominent figure in the cryptocurrency industry, known primarily as the founder and former CEO of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange. Born into privilege, Bankman-Fried had a comfortable upbringing with loving parents and attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he received a solid education that paved the way for his early career in finance.

Bankman-Fried quickly rose to prominence in the crypto world, gaining a reputation for his ambitious vision and the rapid growth of FTX. He was known for his eccentric personality, often portrayed as a mad genius with a casual demeanor, driving a Toyota Corolla and sleeping on a beanbag.
