A Look into AO Token Economics

In February 2024, Arweave launched the public testnet for AO, a distributed computing environment that enables parallelized processing capabilities while leveraging the Arweave protocol for data storage.

At the time, it was uncertain whether AO would have its own native token or whether it would utilize AR. However, on June 13, 2024, the pre-bridge token minting phase as well as the token economics for AO’s native token, AO, was released.
