Aztec Network: A Privacy-focused ZK-rollup

Privacy is difficult to achieve in the context of blockchain technology due to a blockchain's fundamental characteristic of being an immutable public ledger. An address’ entire history of transactions in the blockchain can be viewed by anyone and, despite being pseudo-anonymous, can be traced back to the identity of its owner if said owner has transacted with, either on purpose or by accident, with an address that has relations to their KYC’d centralized exchange.

A number of privacy protocols aim to address this conundrum, with one of them being Aztec Network.
