Throughout the course of this series thus far, we have seen how layer 1 blockchains have expanded their ecosystems over the past several months, attracting users and capital to their platforms. This cross-chain movement of value is made possible through a number of innovations that are continually being optimized for a multi-chain world, including oracles, bridges, and exchanges.

At the moment, THORChain is one of the only protocols that allow users to swap between native assets, while others like AnySwap act more like a multi-chain bridge, swapping assets on the source chain for wrapped versions of the same asset on a destination chain.
