Mapping Out Scroll Ecosystem

Scroll is one of the many rollup scaling solutions aiming to increase Ethereum's throughput. Scroll utilizes zero-knowledge proofs in its zkEVM to attest that the network follows Ethereum's rules. Founded by Sandy Peng, Haichen Shen, and Ye Zhang, Scroll was introduced in Q2'22 as one of the Layer-2 chains aiming to scale Ethereum. Scroll's in-depth technical overview can be accessed here.  

Based on proprietary The Block Pro data, Scroll has, to date, raised $80 million across two rounds, with the latest Series B round valued at $1.8 billion. Crypto venture capital heavyweights such as Polychain Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Variant have participated in at least one round.
