Projects can be spun up in weeks to days, amassing capital and attracting developers with very little friction. The pervasive use of communication tools like Twitter, Discord, and Telegram by the cryptocurrency community has engendered a culture of collaboration and constant dialogue, regardless of physical location. 

DeFi projects today can launch remotely with international teams and with varying degrees of anonymity. The ability for anyone in the world to interact with deployed smart contracts reduces many of the barriers to attracting both users and developers.
