An analysis of Opyn's put option for COMP

The lending platform Compound's new governance token COMP has surged in popularity since its release in mid-June.

As reported by The Block, the COMP governance token was released as part of Compound's efforts to progressively decentralize by removing key person risk, giving the Compound community the ability to weigh in on protocol updates and allowing for monetization after finally overcoming regulatory buffers related to sufficient decentralization.
