On Monday, the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned Tornado Cash, a decentralized virtual currency-mixing protocol. 38 cryptocurrency addresses were added to the Specially Designated Nationals list, which prohibits U.S. persons and firms operating in the U.S. from dealing with these addresses.
