Analyzing Pantera’s Investment Portfolio

Pantera Capital is the oldest US bitcoin investment firm and has established itself as a cryptocurrency and blockchain investment leader. Founded in 2003 by Dan Morehead, Pantera Capital was initially a traditional hedge fund focused on global macro trends. In 2013, the firm shifted its focus to digital assets and blockchain technology.

Currently, the firm operates five different types of funds (Blockchain, Venture, Bitcoin, Liquid Token, and Early-Stage Token), with the recent news that Pantera is raising $1.25 billion for another Blockchain Fund. In the Spring, the firm announced that it was aiming to raise $200 million for a more concentrated fund, Pantera Select Fund, to invest in more mature crypto companies.
