Mapping Out Coinbase Ventures Portfolio

Coinbase Ventures, launched in 2018 by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam, has become one of the elite crypto venture capital firms, amassing a vast portfolio of projects that the company has either acquired or provided capital to. In total, Coinbase has made 411 investments in 376 unique companies. 

The last time The Block Research covered Coinbase Ventures' activity, the bull market was just beginning and a lot has changed since then. Many Coinbase competitors joined the market, the NFT industry completed a market cycle, and a major Layer-1 protocol and a centralized exchange wiped out billions of dollars of value from the market. In the meantime, Coinbase's stock price crashed as much as 90% from its initial public offering date, currently valuing the U.S. crypto giant at just over $23 billion.
