Framework Ventures is a San Francisco-based venture firm focused on decentralized finance (DeFi), founded by Michael Anderson and Vance Spencer in 2019.

The growth of DeFi over the past few months has forced some funds to rethink their strategies. And yet, Framework has been exclusively focused on this segment since its inception. The firm led Synthetix’ $3.8M funding round and purchased 5 million Synth (SNX) tokens from the Synthetix Foundation’s treasury back in Oct. 2019, and was also an early investor in Chainlink, a price oracle system that is a building block for many DeFi applications.
