Mapping out ParaFi Capital's portfolio

ParaFi Capital is an investment firm focused on blockchain technology and decentralized finance markets. Based in San Francisco, California, the fund was founded by Ben Forman, a previous executive at the private equity firms KKR and TPG. As of August 31, ParaFi had more than $100 million in assets under management.

The firm was one of the earliest investors and participants in DeFi protocols. It began to strategically focus on that sub-sector in 2018. In the firm’s opinion, DeFi is the next wave of innovation in finance and will have the largest impact on all blockchain use cases. The focus on DeFi is best represented by its current portfolio construction, in which it has only made 2 investments that are not DeFi-related.
