Founded by Meyer “Micky” Malka in 2012, Ribbit Capital is a venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. The firm operates off of the belief that the financial disruptor category is uniquely under-innovated, and it seeks investment in companies positioned in personal finance, insurance, software, and crypto-services sectors. 

With nearly $4.3 billion in assets under management, Ribbit has some of the most fintech unicorn companies in its portfolio amongst fintech investors, including early investments in the investment platform Robinhood, the crypto exchange Coinbase, and the automotive insurance platform Root Insurance.
