SBI Holdings is a Japanese-Internet financial services conglomerate with three core businesses that extend to financial services, asset management, and biotechnology. Founded in 1999, the company was initially part of the Softbank group and became independent in 2006.

The firm has operated off of the thesis that the Internet, fintech, AI, blockchain, and quantum computing will continue to transform the financial industry radically. As an extension of this belief, SBI is creating an ecosystem based on digital assets as one of its growth strategies.
