Mapping out the 10 most active crypto funds' 2019 investments

This is a follow-up to our 2019 funding trends piece, done earlier this month, which found the total USD value of venture investment (excluding deals < $1.0 million, Seed and All Series) into the sector has softened to $1.5 billion in 2019 (total number of deals at 269), down ~40% Y/Y (vs. total number of deals down ~60%).

Using Pitchbook, we mapped out the investments made by the most active funds in 2019 (Seed, Early Stage, Late) to see if there is a specific sector funds are allocating more into than others. The top 10 active funds and their investments in 2019 are depicted below:
