Wintermute Trading is a London-based market maker and proprietary trading firm within the digital asset sector. The firm was founded in 2017 by Evgeny Gaevoy, Harro Mantel, and Yoann Turpin, who had previously served as executives for the traditional market-making and proprietary trading firm Optiver. 

The firm provides liquidity to notable crypto exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken and decentralized exchanges that make up the decentralized finance (DeFi) vertical. Aside from market making, the firm offers over-the-counter (OTC) trading, actively manages hundreds of millions in assets, trades more than $5 billion a day across dozens of different trading platforms, and supports blockchain projects.
