Summarizing Q3 2020's blockchain and crypto venture investments

The third quarter has officially come to a close. With that in mind, it's time to examine how the crypto/blockchain vertical fared with investment for the quarter.

In total, $897.7 million across 212 venture deals was allocated to the blockchain/crypto vertical during the third quarter of 2020. Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) accounted for $152.6 million, or roughly 17% of the total reported value.
