A look at organizations that accept bitcoin donations

A sliver of major charities in the United States accept bitcoin, and much of that charitable giving is taking place through a long-running industry payment processor, according to new research.

As exemplified by the Pineapple Fund, the unique properties of bitcoin enabled a completely anonymous donor to give away roughly $55M in bitcoins during the cryptocurrency bubble of 2017.
