A look at trading fees across spot exchanges

While major traditional brokerages all moved to cut trading fees to zero in 2019, in the cryptocurrency industry, it is still the norm for users to pay trading fees to cryptocurrency exchanges.

Trading fees often make up the majority of revenues for cryptocurrency exchanges and with monthly volumes regularly encroaching and occasionally surpassing $1 trillion. As a result, it's no surprise that these exchanges are hesitant about lowering their fee structures.
