Analysis of Tiger Global's 13-F Filing

Tiger Global Management (often referred to as Tiger Global) was founded in 2001 by Chase Coleman III. Coleman previously worked with Julian Robertson at the original Tiger Management until the fund closed in 2000. Robertson seeded Coleman and other Tiger Management employees to start their own respective funds, now known colloquially as "Tiger Cubs". With $25mm from Robertson, Coleman launched Tiger Technologies in 2001 with a public equities-focused strategy. In 2003, Tiger expanded into private equity with an emphasis on high growth in the post dot com bubble internet, software, consumer and FinTech verticals. 

Tiger's private equity mandate includes investments from Series A to pre-IPO.
