April Blockchain Funding Recap

Last month was the highest month in venture funding for the blockchain sector year to date, receiving just shy of $1.2 billion across 156 deals.

Funding in dollar terms grew approximately 26% month over month and deals increased nearly 23%. Although this is the most funding activity we’ve seen this year, investment in dollar terms and deals mirrored closely to what occurred in February. For comparison's sake, April only had $22 million more in investment and six more deals than February.
