Gun and police equipment stocks rally amid the social unrest

The social unrest and protests across the United States after the killing of George Floyd are having a positive effect on the stocks of manufacturers of guns, ammunition, and police equipment.

It doesn’t take much imagination to see why. The protests that started as peaceful (and remain peaceful in many cities) have turned into rioting and looting, which leads to the destruction of property.
