January Blockchain Funding Recap

Last month, approximately $787 million was invested in blockchain-related companies across 154 funding deals. These figures marked a 12% decrease month-over-month in venture funding. However, there was a resurgence in the frequency of deals, extending by approximately 31% 

The surge in venture deal activity last month can be primarily attributed to one notable factor: December witnessed a significant decrease in Pre-Seed deals compared to recent trends, marking the lowest count since April 2021. However, January saw a resurgence in Pre-Seed deal activity, bringing it back in line with its typical activity level. As a result, deal activity in this category experienced an impressive 300% increase.
