LocalBitcoins is one of the largest and most well-known peer-to-peer bitcoin trading platforms. However, recent trading volume data reveals that the platform has been losing market share to competitors like Paxful.

The Block took a look at some of the factors at play for this sliding market share. The below chart shows the bitcoin volume market share of three peer-to-peer exchanges: LocalBitcoins, Paxful, and Bisq. We can see that LocalBitcoins' market share began to slide in October 2019.
