Money 2.0 Stuff: Bailouts...on the blockchain

Is ProgPow a Russian disinformation strategy? I don’t know, I don’t know. I’m not wholly unconvinced. ProgPow is, however, without doubt, back in the news following a ‘ninja-approval’ from Core Developers last week, with the update to Ethereum’s hashing algorithm slated for June. 

Like most cryptocurrency things, in its essence ProgPow is one of those things that looks intensely boring and abstruse to anyone not fully immersed in the nuances of the blockchain industry but, somehow, simultaneously can cause the digital-asset equivalent of a civil war. Twitter is the battleground, polite but increasingly passive-aggressive statements the weapon, a potential chain split and hurt feelings the damage. Serious stuff, in short.
