October Blockchain Funding Recap

From August to September, venture funding in the blockchain sector increased by 21% from nearly $1.9 billion to roughly $2.3 billion. Prior to that funding month, investments were seeing a continuing decline for three straight months. While, the rise in investments in September showed life in crypto private market, displaying a potential reversal of the downtrend, October funding proved otherwise.

Last month, approximately $1.3 billion was raised across 163 funding deals. The raise monthly funding for the sector since February 2021, a period when investment first started to increase exponentially. For reference, from February 2021 to January 2021, investment grew roughly 240% from $762 million to nearly $2.6 billion.
