October Blockchain Funding Recap

Last month, approximately $553 million was invested in blockchain-related companies across 145 funding deals. These figures marked a 16% decrease in funding, alongside a nearly 8% drop in deal volume compared to the previous month. Investment activity within the blockchain sector throughout 2023 was already displaying a deceleration.

From January to July, the sector attracted an average of nearly $1 billion in monthly venture capital investments. However, over the subsequent three months, from August to October, the average monthly investment has dwindled to approximately $570 million.
