Q3'22 Blockchain Venture Funding and M&A Recap

Venture funding decreased roughly 35% Q/Q to approximately $6.2 billion. Funding in dollar amount has now declined for two consecutive quarters. The last time this occurred was 2H18 into 2019.

The number of VC deals also decreased by approximately 22% QoQ. Before this decrease, the number of deals had increased for three consecutive quarters. Q2'22 was the highest quarter for VC deals in Crypto despite being the first down quarter in dollar amount since the beginning of 2020.
