On Thursday, the Fed announced a "historic shift" in how it will think about balancing inflation amid the re-emphasized priority of full(er) employment. You can read the official changes to its FOMC framework here, the TL;DR of which is that the Fed will accept higher levels of inflation in order to support an even stronger "natural" employment level — whatever that is remains to be seen.
