A Lesson in Biomimetics from Bitcoin

Biomimetics or biomimicry refers to the transfer of ideas and analogs from biology to technology; the term was originally coined by Otto Schmitt, an American inventor and renowned polymath (no, not the Polymath Network). 

Unfortunately, many of those that claim to be in the digital assets industry don’t take the time to understand the foundational principles of our field, so how can they be expected to possess knowledge spanning a significant number of subjects (the very definition of a polymath)? Perhaps more should meditate on Elon Musk's "first principles" video?
