Founded in 2020 by Wall Street veteran Caitlin Long, Avanti Financial Group operates as a crypto-asset bank focused on building a regulated bridge between the U.S. dollar banking system and digital asset custody. In Oct-20, Avanti received approval for its bank charter from the Wyoming State Banking Board and applied for Federal Reserve payment system access. Avanti raised $43mm to date with a recent $37mm Series A. Most recently, Avanti applied to become a Member Bank of the Federal Reserve System in Aug-21.

Avanti’s flagship product, Avit, is a tokenized U.S. dollar backed by the Avanti Bank Reserves. While Avit looks similar to stable coins, Avanti is structuring it to be treated differently from a regulatory and legal perspective.
