In the second half of 2022, NFTs suffered a torrid time that unfolded in lockstep with the wider crypto market meltdown. Unable to tame the corrosive effect of this collapse, hopes of a quick recovery were dashed by a series of bad omens that inundated the market with much doom-laden news.
